Karaoke CD+G Creator

Karaoke applications work with special karaoke files, in specific files, so you can't use them to play regular audio files. You may be able to find a few karaoke files online, but a better solution is to create your own karaoke files. Karaoke CD+G Creator can help you turn your favorite songs into karaoke files and burn them on a CD+G (CD+Graphics). The software also allows you to search for lyrics, synchronize them to your songs and much more.

Installing Karaoke CD+G Creator should not take long. The installation file is roughly 15 MB and the setup procedure is straightforward and easy. The application is compatible with numerous Windows versions, from Win 98 to Win 8. It asks for a processor of at least 1 GHz, 256 RAM and a 16-bit stereo card, which should not be too much for a modern day computer.

You can get used to the user interface in no time. Its options are clear and easy to understand and they are very well organized. When you load a song, you will find its waveform on the left side of the interface and you can type or insert lyrics and edit them, in the central region of the window. You can load MP3 and WAV files, import CD+G files or follow a wizard's instructions to locate, download and load MIDI karaoke files from the Internet.

Important options, for loading songs, importing and synchronizing lyrics and so on are located on a toolbar, but you can also find them as hyperlinks, on the right side of the interface. When you hit the lyrics synchronization option, the song will start playing automatically and a series of options will appear on a tool pane. While a song is playing, you can use the new options to mark individual words or silent moments when you hear them. If a word is not timed correctly, you can adjust its start and end times on a separate window. You can also click and drag a word's start and end times directly on the song's waveform.

The software comes with a voice removal feature as well. You can change a series of parameters, like bass boost, trebble boost or attenuation, on a separate window, and hit a Process button, to remove all voices from the loaded song. You can also align the text and add effects, apply styles or insert various events, like duets, countdowns and others.
